Synamedia has joined a growing group of video software/platform players to strike a partnership with Google Cloud as it seeks to plug new customers into Synamedia's "as-a-service" model for OTT video services and to help existing ones transition part or all of their operations to the cloud.
Moving into the Google Cloud as a pure SaaS will help Synamedia to further address customer needs around service uptime, achieve broadcast quality latency, and ramp up scalability while reducing operational costs and complexity.

Technology outfit Synamedia has joined AV1 compression consortium the Alliance for Open Media (AOMedia) at the Promoter level.
Synamedia has joined the Alliance for Open Media as a Promoter member. As a member of the Alliance, Synamedia will collaborate with other AOMedia members, to advance open standards for media compression and delivery over the web.
