New capabilities help broadband operators cut truck rolls, reduce unnecessary device swaps, and make data-driven service decisions.
ATLANTA, February 12, 2026— Synamedia today announced new capabilities in its Synamedia Gravity platform to enhance broadband service providers’ ability to monitor in-home Wi-Fi performance and assess the effectiveness of device swaps. These updates aim to reduce operational expense, minimize unnecessary device replacements and improve customer service outcomes. Synamedia will demonstrate the new capabilities at the NCTC Winter Educational Conference 2026, February 16-18, Henderson, NV.
Device Swap Intelligence
The platform now automatically detects device swaps and evaluates key performance metrics such as Wi-Fi stability, WAN Health & Reboot frequency before and after replacement, helping operators make informed decisions around swaps and minimizing unnecessary truck rolls.
“For too long, device swaps have been based on gut feel rather than evidence,” said Patricia Kellaghan, senior director of product management for Synamedia Gravity at Synamedia. “With these new capabilities, operators can prove whether a swap resolves an issue, identify problems at the client device level, and make smarter decisions that reduce costs while improving customer experience. That’s the kind of operational intelligence our customers have been asking for.”
Wi-Fi Client Intelligence & Stability Score
Synamedia Gravity classifies connected devices—such as mobile devices, IoT endpoints, streaming boxes and gaming consoles—and assesses their ability to support applications like streaming and gaming. It provides customer service representatives with a comprehensive view of all connected devices and introduces a Wi-Fi Stability Score to help operators identify intermittent issues that drive repeat calls and validate whether corrective actions improved service quality.
Built for How ISPs Operate
These enhancements build on Synamedia Gravity’s core strengths as a vendor-agnostic and agentless platform that delivers edge-to-core device and service orchestration across the access network and the customer’s home or business. Synamedia Gravity provides end-to-end visibility and control from the OLT and ONT to gateway, extender, and client devices across DOCSIS, fiber, and fixed wireless networks — all in a multi-vendor environment.
By enabling flexibility and choice across OEM vendors and network access technologies, Synamedia Gravity helps service providers maintaining a single operational view & future-proofing operators’ innovation roadmap.
