Connected TV World Summit attracts an international A-list line-up of the biggest names in Pay TV, broadcasting, streaming, studios and TV tech, who turn up to share new thinking and best practice on the business and technology transformation of TV.
Our Simon Brydon will be speaking in a panel session “The future of sports viewing, content and monetisation” on Wednesday, 22 March 2023, 15:10 – 15:50 GMT
In this panel, we will hear how sports federations and rights holders can super-serve existing fans and grow audiences by leveraging digital platforms, and will explore the role of distribution partners like Pay TV channels, free-to-air broadcasters and streaming sports aggregators in the evolving sports landscape. The panel will discuss the value of non-live and ancillary content for engaging a new generation of sports fans between seasons. We will hear about the monetisation opportunities for rights holders across traditional linear and streaming channels, the technologies driving monetisation today and where vendors can fit into the value chain.
Our panelists will discuss how anti-piracy technology, monitoring and intelligence can be used – in combination with legal action – to disrupt pirate sports streams. We want to know about the latest improvements in compression efficiencies, end-to-end latency reduction and other network and operations innovations that are improving the sports streaming QoE.
