Another IBC has wrapped, and the Synamedia team is back from Amsterdam with a lot to be excited about. Booth 1.B49 was busy from the first morning to the last, and it gave us a great read on where the industry’s head is at right now and how our own story is landing.

Here’s what stood out.

Our new positioning resonated

This year we brought a refreshed corporate positioning to IBC: one integrated portfolio, built to help video and broadband businesses grow audiences, monetise smarter, and run leaner. As CEO Dr Tzvi Gerstl put it in the lead-up to the show, the industry’s biggest challenge today is less about the next technology transition and more about the business problem, how operators return to growth, compete for fragmented attention, and reduce cost and complexity in running their services.

So business outcomes resonated highly at IBC – and we’re now delivering those outcomes through a portfolio of five integrated SaaS solutions, giving operators a choice to modernise their stacks in the areas that matter the most, with a progression path to other solutions, as and when their business evolves or customers demand.

The real test of this was always going to be the show floor, and the team’s experience was consistently positive. Across every conversation, the new story came naturally into the pitch, and customers, prospects and the industry’s media responded well when they heard it. Senza Ignite was a particular highlight, drawing strong interest throughout the show, with GO Proximity also generating solid conversations – we had Synamedia Iris integrated into both those demos underpin the capabilities and innovation that our portfolio now delivers. The new positioning gave every product a clearer “why” and it showed.

Two firsts on the show floor

IBC 2026 wasn’t just about the story; there was real product news behind it. Senza Ignite was running on a deployed beIN satellite set-top box, alongside interface features including 3D graphics, multiview and social feeds – proof that operators can modernise the TV experience on devices already in customers’ homes, without a hardware refresh.

We also announced the global expansion of Synamedia Gravity, our device management platform, beyond North America, bringing it to European operators for the first time, alongside new video quality monitoring capabilities on top of its existing home networking functions.

Our Synamedia Go demo zone was full of innovation. We showcased how operators can capture attention, with Go Shorts. How they can keep it with hyper-personalisation using Go Proximity where the TV understand the profile of a viewer when physically walking into the room and serves up relevant content to that profile. This changes to family profile when other family members enter the room, as well as conversational search to create a personalised rail. And with Iris, it showed how you can monetise the attention by serving relevant ads.

And we picked up an award! GO Shorts, our short-form module for Synamedia Go was recognised for a product that turns operators’ existing content libraries into personalised, mobile-first experiences without a rebuild.

Partners on the booth, bringing the story to life

For the first time, we hosted partners directly on our booth, and it paid off in the ways that matter most – in that visitors could see our portfolio in the context of the wider ecosystem it plugs into, not just as a standalone pitch.

Spicy Mango, a specialist streaming consultancy and engineering services business, showed how their teams design, build and optimise live video services that complement Synamedia platforms, with Gameday, their real-time sports data platform, live on the big screen as a glimpse of where enriched live sports experiences are heading.

FX Digital, a leading Connected TV-first app technology company, joined us to showcase how their expertise building native and web apps for smart TVs, set-top boxes and consoles brings Synamedia platforms to life across the device landscape, including the user experience behind GO Shorts itself.

Looking ahead

IBC 2026 confirmed that our new direction, one integrated portfolio, built to solve and future-proof the business of video, is a story our customers and partners want to hear, backed by real product milestones to prove it. Thanks to everyone who stopped by 1.B49 this year, see you in Amsterdam next time.
