Synamedia aces Cartesian’s security tests

Customers often ask how we can prove how robust our security solutions are.

Fortunately, there is an independent expert who specializes in assessing security for the communications and digital media industries – Cartesian.

Cartesian has now put our watermarking technologies under the microscope with a slew of tests and the good news is they have come out at the top of the class.

Cartesian’s Farncombe Security Audit Watermark review has all the right credentials. It was developed in consultation with Hollywood studios, watermark solution vendors, MovieLabs, and the Motion Picture Association of America.

It measures the robustness of video watermarking technologies by simulating a series of attacks at varying intensities, replicating the tampering techniques used by pirates to remove or destroy the watermark. These techniques include compression, downscaling, cropping, aspect ratio alteration, and collusion.

Now you don’t have to just take our word for it: our watermarking is the gold standard when it comes to protecting your content.

In fact, you can now read our newly published blog — the first in a series of three — that demystifies the world of watermarking and helps you to navigate your way towards the right configuration for your OTT video business.
